THE STORY OF THE WIND

I am lying in my bed

Listening to the drops running down the window

The wind sweeps outside

And knocks on my window

Maybe he wants to talk

Feeling as alone as I do right now

I listen to him and the stories he has brought from far away

He tells me how he danced with the leaves in autumn

tossed them through the air

Spinning in small circles

And then gently released them to reunite them with the Earth.

He said goodbye to them and moved on across the many colourful fields

Out to the Ocean

Where he visited the waves

Who wrapped themselves gently around him

And told him their stories of the sea

How they welcome the sunlight

And break it gently to release it into the ocean depths

where it dances in the rhythm of the waves

Together with the jellyfish

To the music of the singing whales

The wind listened

And accompanied them to the next shore

To say goodbye again.

He met the birds

And brought them gently on his poor

here to me

Now they keep me company with their singing

Together with the knocking of the wind

And the steady beat of the rain

I listen to the soothing orchestra

And I don't feel so lonely anymore
